Overview

An off-duty reserve police officer in Pagedale is charged with first degree murder for allegedly killing his former girlfriend's fiancée.  The murder happened in the Hyde Park neighborhood of North St. Louis shortly before 6:30pm on Sunday night.

Charged with first degree murder is James E. Little, 34, a reserve police officer in Pagedale.  He is accused of murdering William Dupree, 32. Police found Dupree dead, lying on his back in the front yard of his home in the 2100 block of Farrar Street.  He had been shot multiple times in the head.

Homicide investigators say the trouble between Little and Dupree began as an argument that eventually turned physical, ending with Little allegedly shooting Dupree.

Little had come to the house to drop off the child he had with his ex-girlfriend.  Dupree was the ex-girlfriend`s fiancée.  Little had been working as a reserve officer for the Pagedale Police Department.
