Tramaine Poole was accused of attempting to murder his wife in May. He was also wanted in connection to the murder of her best friend 28-year-old Tyekqua Nesbitt.

"From day one, I promised my sister that justice would be served, and I got that justice yesterday," said Nesbitt's twin sister, Tashauna Nesbitt.

That justice coming on a country road in Virginia, caught on cell phone video. Troopers tried to pull over a stolen car, but the driver took off, shooting at their cars. Troopers cornering him and returning fire.

New Haven detectives are now in Virginia, identifying the man killed in the shootout as Tramaine Poole, on the run for more than two months. The Chief saying, it was just a matter of time.

"We had really good information with regard to sightings, with regard to movements," said New haven Police Chief Anthony Campbell. "The net was closing in around him."

According to police, Poole murdered Nesbitt in her car in New Haven while her two children, ages 6 and 11, watched. Nesbitt's family living in fear every day, until yesterday.

"To Tramaine's family, I'm sorry about the way that he chose to leave this world," said Nesbitt's other sister, Latoya Herbert. "It wasn't supposed to have been like this and nobody deserves to lose their child."
