According to police, Sincere Yero Page-El, 40, a North St. Paul man died after the stolen vehicle he was driving crashed during a high-speed chase with a Dakota County sheriff’s deputy.

Page-El, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office.

The Minnesota State Patrol gave the following details of the crash:

At 10:40 a.m. Thursday, the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office was called to a burglary in progress in the 26000 block of Donnelly Avenue in Hampton Township. When the deputy arrived and found a vehicle backed into a secluded area of the property, the deputy tried to block the driver, but the driver of the 2017 Buick Envision fled, striking the squad car on the way out.

The driver fled northbound on Donnelly Avenue, a gravel road, just north of 250th Street East, at a “high rate of speed.” The deputy gave chase in that direction and about a mile north of there crested a hill to find the Envision had rolled into a field.

The driver was dead and a female passenger, 21-year-old Madeline Marie Gross, city of residence unknown, had suffered life-threatening injuries. She was taken to the hospital. Her condition was not listed.

The Envision was reported stolen out of Minneapolis.
