Authorities say the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is probing a fatal police-involved shooting in coastal Georgia.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan police spokesman Julian Miller says the department's chief, Willie Lovett, requested the state investigation after 56-year-old Samuel Frazier was shot by an officer Saturday morning.

The Savannah Morning News (http://bit.ly/18oowRN ) reports police were responding to Frazier's house after he was involved in a dispute at a nearby business. Investigators have said Frazier was armed when the officer shot him.
