Overview 
Police shoot and kill a man who allegedly held a child at knife point inside a Walmart Neighborhood Market store in Midwest City.
It happened at the Walmart store located at 7520 E. Reno Avenue in Midwest City Monday afternoon. According to witnesses at the scene, the man grabbed a young child out of a shopping cart and held a knife to the child. The mother screamed for her child. The two then reportedly got into a verbal argument as employees moved to the front of the store. Police evacuated the store.
Officers negotiated with the suspect with no luck. Police say the suspect began counting down before he killed the child and that's when an officer fired one shot, killing the suspect. The suspect was holding the child at the time. The 2-year-old girl was not hurt.
