Overview 
Speeding at 3.15am, without lights or siren,reponding to a non-emergency situation, a local officer struck and killed pedestrian Ivey. He was charged and convicted of vehicular homicide but after a series of appeals, the charge was dropped to reckless driving and the officer was released after 40 days.
