Overview 
A gunman shot to death by patrol officers on a city street Wednesday morning has been identified as Reginald McGregor, a man with a criminal history, according to officials and court documents. McGregor, 31, died on N. Retta St. from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office website Thursday.

He did not shoot at police officers. It has been established that there was know way he would have known police were even on the scene until police opened fire.
