The man shot and killed Monday by a Lansing Township police officer during a traffic stop has been identified as 27-year-old Randall Minier Jr.
Minier recently lived in Lansing, although officials today said he is a "Lansing-area resident."
A state police investigator today said that Minier "displayed a gun to the officers" during the traffic stop Monday afternoon in the 2600 block of West Kalamazoo Street. Minier was a passenger, one of three people, in the car.
