Overview 
A Maricopa County sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a suicidal man after he pulled out a gun while talking to law enforcement, MCSO spokesman Chris Hegstrom said.
The shooting took place Sunday outside a home in the area of 111th and Arizona avenues in Youngtown.
MCSO spokesman Chris Hegstrom said when deputies pulled up, 69-year-old Ralph Aguilar emerged from the house.
At some point, as deputies were talking to him, Aguilar pulled a gun from his pocket, Hegstrom said.
Law enforcement fired one shot at the man, killing him.
