Overview 
Peter Fanfan, 29, was killed after exchanging gunfire with police responding to reports of an earlier shooting, officials said. Black community leaders who saw video of the shooting said it appeared to corroborate Boston police officials’ account that officers returned fire after Fanfan shot at them.
