Overview 
Hambric, a resident of Durham, fled from a car accident involving a stolen vehicle on May 25, according to police. The police said Cpl. DW Walsh fired a single round from his service weapon at Hambric after the man allegedly physically assaulted the officer during an attempt to take him into custody.
