Overview 
Miguel Gomez, 56, was killed on the scene after a Sunday night call about shots being fired in Pompano Beach turned into more shots fired by both Gomez and Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies, BSO said.
BSO said when deputies arrived to investigate the shots-fired call, Gomez fired at them. The deputies shot back. The agency said there were no other injuries in the incident, which occurred around 10:26 p.m. in the 2500 block of Northeast 11th Court.
