Overview 
The man was reportedly harassing pedestrians. He drew a knife when an officer approached him and was shot when he ignored commands to drop the weapon, police said.
Police said four surveillance cameras captured the incident.
The police officer involved has not been named and the investigation is ongoing.
Legal Action
On July 27, 2016, District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Wednesday that her office had completed their investigation and the Everett police officer who fatally shot Mejia-Martinez was cleared by the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.
