Overview 
Pascual Ayala and his passenger Marina Barajas were both killed as a suspect pursued by police slammed into their vehicle. Their families contended that the 14-minute high speed chase through city streets was irresponsible and should have been halted. The Barajas family was awarded $400K; the Ayala family $250K.
