Overview 
The sheriff said deputies killed Lewis Ruffin Jr., 38 when they were trying to arrest him for a domestic violence incident, near Texas Avenue and Americana Boulevard on Tuesday morning. According to police, they killed him after he started shooting at them. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
