Overview 
Lebarron Ballard, 28 was shot and killed by Abilene police officers after police say he attacked them with knife.
According to police, Ballard stole a can of beer early Wednesday morning from a convenience store in the 2400 block of South 1st Street.
Police tased him after a short foot chase.
Ballard was then shot when police say he attacked two officers with a knife.
The officers remain at home, recovering from significant injuries.
