Overview 
Lavoy was a passenger in a vehicle driver by Jeromy Goode, which was chased by police after taking off from a traffic stop for speeding. State troopers chased him at high speed down I-55 for 25 miles. The SUV then failed to negotiate an exit, flipped, and the collision killed Lavoy along with Jeremy Goode and Leon Haywood.
