The gun recovered at the scene of a traffic stop that ended in a shooting death has been traced to the Detroit Police Department. Officials say they don’t know whether the gun made its way from Michigan to Oklahoma legally or not.
Tulsa Police Officer Adam Dawson is on paid leave of absence following the shooting death of 20-year old Lakeith Roland of Tulsa. Reports indicate that Roland left his vehicle after a police pursuit and was brandishing a firearm when he was shot by Dawson.
The Tulsa officer had attempted a traffic stop when Roland drove away, only to be stopped again several miles later.
