Overview 
18-year-old Kamaal Koby Edwards was shot and killed by police after a foot chase through a South Georgia city.
Officers with the Cuthbert Police Department were investigating a car break-in when they confronted the teenager, identified by the GBI as Kamaal Koby Edwards of Cuthbert, according to a spokeswoman for the state agency.
“A foot chase ensued that resulted in gunfire between the officers and Edwards,” spokeswoman Natalie Ammons said in a news release. “Edwards was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
One officer sustained minor injuries, according to the GBI.
