Overview 
An armed robber was killed by Spokane Police Tuesday morning after he allegedly robbed Safeway at 1616 W. Northwest Blvd.
Around 5:45 a.m. the suspect robbed the grocery store - assaulting a store employee in the process - and fled the scene. As he fled, he fired one round from his gun in the parking lot.
Officers located the suspect's vehicle, but the suspect fled on foot in the area of Madison Street and Sinto Avenue.
