Omaha police have identified the man that was shot by an officer on June 15, following a shooting spree.

Twenty-five-year-old Jorge Abraham Zarazua-Rubio has been identified as the man shot by police. According to a news release, police are still looking for a witness who left the shooting scene at 31st and Hascall.

On June 15, the first shooting occurred at 2:03 p.m. behind an apartment building at South 31st and Hascall where 31-year-old Aaron Anderson was found critically wounded. A second shooting was reported at 2:23 p.m. near South 33rd and D streets where 46-year-old Angel Cabrera was also found critically wounded.

A third shooting was reported at 2:27 p.m. at 34th and F streets where 25-year-old Anthony Vazzano was found dead. A fourth shooting at 2:32 p.m. at South 33rd and E streets where police found 25-year-old Pascual Bautista-Raymundo dead in an alley.

A witness followed the suspect and called police using his cell phone. The suspect was confronted by OPD Officer Coral Walker, a 13-year veteran of the force, at Dahlman Avenue and F Street and the two exchanged gunfire. The suspect was wounded in the neck and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
