Overview 
Jim Rogers, 54, was in Pittsburgh Bureau of Police custody on October 13 when an officer deployed a Taser on him, according to a public safety department statement. Rogers was later transported to Mercy Hospital, where he died the following day.
Legal Action
In March 2023, five officers involved in the death of Rogers were fired.
On April 27, the family of Jim Rogers and the city of Pittsburgh reached a settlement agreement.in a federal civil rights lawsuit for $8 million dollars.
