Overview 
Guadalupe Sauceda was killed and a deputy was wounded in a shootout in Jal that began as a home invasion, according to New Mexico State Police. The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2016 when someone reported an intruder inside their home in Jal, located in Lea County. State police say two officers and two deputies got into a shootout with the suspect, Guadalupe Sauceda, on the back porch, ultimately killing him.
