Overview 
Dewayne Deshawn Ward Jr., 29, died in a hail of bullets as deputies tried to serve the restraining order and Ward came at them with a knife, Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Lee said. The restraining order stated that Ward was to stay 100 yards from his mother and move out of their residence at the Casa Blanca Apartments in the 1000 block of Claudia Court.
