Overview

Authorities say a credit card fraud suspect shot by police in the parking lot of a Scottsdale supermarket has died. Scottsdale police say 42-year-old Dewayne Carr died Monday. They say Carr had a long criminal history in Arizona and Illinois, including armed robbery, aggravated assault and drug charges. Police also say Carr served prison sentences for armed robbery and other crimes. Carr was shot in the chest by police last week when officers say he tried to run them over while busting an alleged credit card fraud ring.

April 2016 Guardian reveals officer cleared with no public announcement. In 51 deaths ruled justied in the first three months of this year the public was not told result of decision.
