Overview 
01/25/2007, at 04:19 am on this date, Officers of the Plainview Police Department were called to an apartment located at 1407 Wayland Street, which is the Bethseda Manor Apartments. The initial call was of an alarm inside one of the apartments going off. When the officers arrived they were not able to get into the apartment and called an apartment representative to let them in. When the door was opened they encountered a female with a large butcher knife. The woman threatened the officers with the knife. After repeated attempts to get the woman to drop the knife, one officer used a non-lethal bean bag device to disarm the woman. The effort to disarm the woman failed and she charged one officer with the knife. Two other officers who were behind the first officer then fired their duty weapons at the woman and she fell to the floor of the apartment. EMS were notified and responded, but the woman was deceased.
