Overview

What began as a dispute between neighbors over loud music ended with a 57-year-old Vallejo man being fatally shot by a police officer Sunday morning, according to police.

Shortly after 8 a.m., police responded to reports of gunfire at the Seabreeze apartment complex on Larissa Lane and found a resident, Cesar Baguio, armed with a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun in the patio area, according to police reports.

The officer, whose name has not been released, ordered Baguio several times to drop his weapon, the report said. The suspect responded by turning and leveling his shotgun at the officer, who then shot the suspect. The number of rounds fired by the suspect and officer is still under investigation.
