Overview

A San Antonio police officer shot and killed 20 year-old Alfredo De La Rosa who police allege managed to take the officer's stun gun and tase him during a violent struggle early Tuesday morning.

According to Chief William McManus, the officer was patrolling the area near Five Palms Drive and Reefridge when he spotted three possible car burglary suspects.

The suspects ran off, but the officer was able to catch up to De La Rosa. The officer pulled out his stun gun and deployed it, but the two continued to struggle.

McManus says De La Rosa managed to grab the stun gun and tase the officer, that's when the officer pulled out his gun, shooting and killing De La Rosa.
