Overview 
Anderson police said they shot and killed a woman Friday night who shoplifted from Kohl's on Clemson Boulevard and led them on a chase.
The coroner identified the woman as Sharon Rebecca McDowell, 49, of Prevost Street.
"She ran from police and a chase ensued," Anderson County coroner Greg Shore said. "[Officers] got the car stopped and one of the other occupants of the car jumped out and ran, and the victim drove off again. She drove into a trailer park just outside the city of Anderson."
