Overview 
At approximately 1:35 pm, Deputy J. Reese (Badge#2729) was escorting an inmate who was being seen by MHMRA, when he noticed Sgt. King and Sgt. Wiltz standing in front of cellblock 4J1. Sgt. King called out that there was a problem and Deputy Resee ran over to 4J1 to assist. When he entered 4J1, he saw several nurses and Detentin Officer McQueen in cell C. As he entered the cell, he observed Inmate Bonilla lying face up with her feet near the cell door and her head near the shower. She was motionless and did not appear to be breathing. Deputy Reese knelt down and was unable to feel a pulse and immediately began to assist the nurses with CPR. After several attempts with no response from Ms. Bonilla, D.O. McQueen and Reese helped the nurses to lift Ms. Bonilla onto the stretcher. She was transported to the clinic (arrived at 1:45 p.m.). Upon her arrival, more medical staff continued CPR. The Hoston Fire Department and ambulance arrived at 1:55 p.m. and took over the rescue efforts. Ms. Bonilla was pronounced dead by Dr. E. Porsa at aproximately 2:15 p.m.
