Overview

Quencezola Splunge, was shot and killed by police after a high speed chase. According to police, it all started when Splunge went into a DMV location in Hernando to get a driver's license. A DMV employee reportedly saw a warrant out for his arrest and called police. That's when authorities say Splunge got into his car and led officers on a high speed chase before stopping at Citizen's Bank and Trust in Wall, Mississippi.

With guns drawn, officers surrounded the armed man for an hour trying to talk him down. Authorities say Splunge opened fire on the officers, who then fired back and killed Splunge.

Legal Action

District Attorney John Champion said evidence supported the scenario described by officers, and he sees no indication they handled the situation inappropriately. He indicated that no charges would be filed against the officers involved.
