Overview 
The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation surrounding an incident where one man was fatally shot after he opened fire on officers Monday, CBS 42 reports.
Marion County Sheriff Kevin Williams told CBS 42 Winfield police officers responded to a call referencing a suspicious man in a stolen SUV in front of a hotel. After running into the woods and shooting at police, the man was fatally wounded after officers returned gunfire.
