Overview 
On October 9, 2015, security staff discovered Offender Griggs in her cell hanging from an air vent with a sheet wrapped around her neck. Security staff cut her down from the vent and immediately began life saving measures. At approximately 1:08 PM, Offender Griggs was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
