Overview 
Inmate Mamie Staton was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on 11/19/2009 and housed in the 1200 Baker Street Facility in 4H2. On 11/22/09 at approximately 2134 hours hospital security was notified that Inmate Staton was to be sent to Ben Taub Emergency Room via Houston Fire Department for complaint of chest pains. Inmate Staton was subsequently admitted to Ben Taub and housed in the MICU 6E room 6. On 11/25/09 at approximately 0425 hours Inmate Staton went into cardiac failure and a code blue was initiated on her. Nurse Uwedepo and Dr P. Rosillo arrived and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Inmate Staton. Nurse Uwedepo and Dr. Rosillo were unsuccessful in reviving Inmate Staton and Dr. Rosillo pronounced Inmate Staton dead at 0456 hours. At approximately 1022 hours patient transportation personnel L. Reed arrived to transport Inmate Staton's remains to the Ben Taub morgue. Mr. Reed and the remains were escorted by Deputy T. Ambres and arrived at 1031 hours. The scene and remains were then released to the care and custody of Ben Taub personnel.
