Overview

According to the LAPD, the incident took place in a church parking lot at Langdon Avenue and Rayen Street in the North San FernandoValley, where, Salinas drove a car that collided with other cars in the lot. He also allegedly attacked a male employee of the church. Also according to the LAPD, Officer Jerold Chase from LAPD Mission Division tried to pull Salinas off the employee, Salinas “got Chase's baton outof its ring and hit him with it, striking the officer's head,” and Chase fired his weapon, killing Salinas.
