Overview 
A Dayton man who was shot to death outside a Northwest Side bar early yesterday was the sixth person killed by Columbus police gunfire this year.
Since the beginning of the year, Columbus officers have been involved in 20 shootings. That’s nearly the same number as last year, when they fired their weapons 21 times, killing seven people.
Jonathan D. Rodgers, 22, had shot another man just after 2 a.m. yesterday before police killed him, said Sgt. Rich Weiner, a police spokesman.
