Overview

On 8/31/06 Inmate Glenda Marie Jackson was found deceased in her Administrative Segregation Cell in the Hunt County Criminal Justice Center. Inmate was incarcerated on a probation violation for felony forgery and for failure to identify and resisting arrest, search or seizure. Inmate had been in the Hunt County Jail for approximately one week and had been seen by the jails physician on Wednesday 8/30/06. Family members attempted to provided the jail with expired prescription medication for Inmates mental health problems and for withdrawals from alcohol which the jail refused because the prescriptions had expired. Medication was prescribed to the inmate on 8/30/06 by the jail physician. Inmate had taken two doses of this medication prior to her death. Autopsy of Inmate showed no apparent cause of death and no signs of trauma to Inmates body. The death of Inmate appears to be attributed to natural causes but is pending awaiting toxicology.
