Overview 
Vallejo police shot and killed a man Wednesday following a high-speed vehicle pursuit that ended in a busy shopping center parking lot.
Police said two officers opened fire at the solo driver of a gold sport utility vehicle after the suspect's vehicle collided with their patrol cars and became locked under the bumper of one of them.
As the suspect tried to free himself, police said the vehicle spun around in such an erratic fashion that it came close to hitting a civilian vehicle which contained a father and his children.
"The officers were requesting that the driver stop and he failed to do that," Vallejo police Lt. Sid DeJesus said. "They were forced to use deadly force."
