Overview 
Beachwood Police Chief Keith Winebrenner would not say when officers last saw Emma Pearson alive or answer any questions about her death. He said the investigation is ongoing Thursday in an email to cleveland.com.
Winebrenner also did not respond to questions about how often jail staff checks on inmates, and procedures for giving prescription medications to inmates.
Gerald Pearson said Beachwood police had not answered the family's questions either.
The family last talked to Emma Pearson Monday when she asked someone to bring her medications to the jail, Gerald Pearson said.
