Overview 
Deputies shot and killed a gunman Tuesday after an armed home invasion in south Lake County. Deputies opened fire after Chacarion Avant, 20, of Mascotte walked out of a home on Taylor Street in the Stuckey community near Mascotte and pointed a rifle at them around 3:20 a.m., according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Two accomplices escaped. But after a daylong hunt using helicopter patrols and bloodhounds, deputies tracked down and arrested Richard Charles McNeal. A second alleged accomplice was still on the loose.
