Inmate Angelica Estrada was being housed within the medical infirmary section of the Bexar County Detention Center, cell #25. At approximately 6:50 a.m., the assigned officer, Cpl. Elizabeth Moore, badge #1722, noticed that the inmate was inside cell #25, and did not appear to be breathing (her chest was not rising or falling). Cpl. Moore had last observed the inmate moving at approximately 6:00 a.m. within cell #25. Cpl. Moore immediately summoned nurse Bonnie Uranga to evaluate inmate Estrada, afterwhich nurse Uranga did not detect a pulse, and immediately summoned additional assistance. Nurse Scott Hines responded with a difubulator, and both nurse Hines and nurse Uranga performed CPR on inmate Estrada while nurse Manuel Reynosa call 911. EMS subsequently arrived and pronounced inmate Estrada deceased at 7:08 a.m. Body was transported to the medical examiners office at 8:52 a.m.
