h./m, 29, critically wounded when shot in the chest by Houston PD officer Richard G. Pederson, 45. Police were called when Santiago refused to let a man retrieve his belongings from Santiago's apartment. Pederson claimed Santiago pointed a gun at him through window blinds; he fired 8 times through the window.
