Information related to the death of Wayne County Jail inmate Abdul Akbar doesn't match up.
Akbar, 59, of Detroit, died suddenly Nov. 1, eight days after he suffered serious injuries during an altercation with guards.
Wayne County Medical Examiner Dr. Carl Schmidt reported in his postmortem report that Akbar died of natural causes related to heart disease, not from complications due to injuries suffered during the guard altercation.
While Wayne County Posecutor Kym Worthy ruled the guards committed no crimes and the death was not related to the Oct. 23 incident, Akbar's daughter, Malikah Akbar, disagrees and has filed a multi-million-dollar lawsuit for wrongful death.http://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index.ssf/2015/09/wayne_county_jail_inmate_suffe.html
